About

As a teen, there was one thing on my mind, becoming a master carpenter. My aim became clear as I learned remodeling with my stepdad’s company. I wanted to know everything there was to know, it was time to seek the masters. After high school in the Kootenays, I became a resident of the Okanagan in 2004.

A week later, the phone rang with my dream job and an invitation to begin my apprenticeship. We were building a 30,000 square foot modern castle; it would take the next five years to build that legacy project. This became a cornerstone in my career. In that time, I completed my apprenticeship and learned from the best of the best. I had become a lead hand, and ahead were several more milestone projects during my time there.

Born Builders was founded in 2016. My mentor and friend of twelve years joined me shortly after. He was the foreman of those milestone projects, an all-star carpenter of forty years, and a hell of fisherman. We went on to build our own legacy.

For over a decade my mentor and I, as a foreman and lead hand duo, lead the charge on the construction of several world-class estates here in the Okanagan. It was during this era that we would develop the tools to realize our potential. In 2016 we launched our firm.

Today we celebrate our journey that has united us with an astounding community of clients, staff, and trades associates. As we look to the future, we challenge ourselves not only to be industry innovators, but to be at best at making the spaces we build about the people around them.
